Product Description

Oppo is pumping out phones faster than any other manufacturer nowadays. This time, they’ve pulled the curtains on the flagship styled Oppo F7. Being on the higher end of the midrange spectrum, the F7 is going to set you back roughly Rs. 40, 000.

Looking for a cheap iPhone X? You’ve come to the right place

The Oppo F7 is quite similar to Apple’s and Samsung’s famed 2017 flagships, the iPhone Xand Galaxy S8, which means it that its designed pretty similarly to it with only the notch being smaller than the aforementioned iPhone. It has a sleek aluminum unibody that gives the phone a smooth and elegant feel.
On the front of the phone we have the now larger 6.23-inch screen. However, the resolution stays the same at FHD+ as Oppo calls it. Above the screen is the insanely generous, one of the biggest in the market, a 25MP camera whereas the back houses a single but powerful primary sensor.

From the top to the bottom of the front panel, all you get is the display

Continuing with the trend of many smartphone manufacturers copying the iPhone X, Oppo had to stake a claim for itself. With a display that stretches from the top to the bottom of this smartphone, they’ve done what they set out for.
The screen on the F7 is a 6.23 inches LTPS IPS panel with a resolution of 1080x2260, also known as FHD+ as Oppo likes to call it, which equates to a pixel density of 405ppi. To protect this beauty of a screen, a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is spread across it, providing maximum durability and strength in case the smartphone takes a crash. However, that won’t be enough to save it on a screen-first crash so please take adequate care while handling this baby.

Outstanding cameras but surprisingly, no dual sensors

The major difference between the iPhone X and the Oppo F7’s design is the latter featuring a single primary sensor. The main camera features a large 16MP sensor. That’s something not in confirmation with what 2018 has been shelling out at the moment but that does not mean that the F7’s primary camera isn’t credible.
The front selfie camera is a generous 25MP one with an aperture of f/2.0 and video recording capability of 1080p at 30 fps. We’re sure you won’t be able to find many selfie sensors bigger than this one!

Powerful hardware compliments a well-built exterior

Time to dive deeper into what the phone has hiding underneath the metal body.
To keep things running smoothly is a healthy amount of RAM, 4 gigs of it that is. That’s more than enough to make Android 8.0 Oreo, which is pre-installed on the phone, fly like a jet. With 64GB of memory on board and the option to expand it up to 256GB, storage is not going to be a problem when you buy this phone.
To make matters even more saucy, that’s just the so-called toned-down version of the Oppo F7; the more powerful variant features 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage for an additional fee of Rs. 10,000.
An adequately poised 3400 mAh battery powers the smartphone while a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner plus Red, Black and Silver colour schemes rounding-off the specs sheet in style.

Oppo F7 pros:

  • iPhone X enthusiasts, the F7 is a shout-out to you all
  • All in all, good amount of specs compliments the highly copied exterior

Oppo F7 cons:

  • Highly copied looks but no one really cares right?
